Making a Cake
Yesterday Nicholas and I made a cake. He sat on the counter and helped stir it and helped me put it into the pan. I let him lick off the spatula when we were finished and I'm pretty sure he enjoyed it! My sisters and I always loved licking the spatula/beaters when we were kids - and I have to admit I had a little myself :)

First an artist, now a chef! That's a talented little boy you have :) It was always a big deal for our kids to lick off the spatula - and eat cookie dough before putting the cookies in the oven :) Steve has carried on the cookie dough tradition very well - ask him about it sometime.

Yum! We use to fight over the beaters and spatulas. Uncle Dave doesn't mess with beaters though - he gets out a spoon and goes for the good stuff! Great picture, too, Nicholas - I could tell that was grass and the sky. We'll keep praying for Loie too!! Love ya! Auntie Larvi
