Frederik Meijer Gardens
Nicholas and I joined Betsy on her trip to the gardens today. She had to go there for a school project so we thought we would tag along. Nicholas had a really great time and it was a beautiful day.
A funny thing happened while we were in the butterfly exhibit. First I should say that he loves his belly button right now and is always looking for it. Anyway, I asked Nicholas to hold my hand since I thought it would be easier to leave the stroller outside the exhibit. As soon as he took my hand, a little girl walked up and grabbed his other hand - we didn't know her. We were laughing about how cute it was and the girls mom called her back over to them. As soon as she let go, Nicholas followed her back over to where her mom was standing. Then we just watched as he proceeded to walk up to the girl, lift her shirt all the way up and stick his finger right in her belly button. I didn't even know what to say. Then the girls mom laughed and said - wow, he's a little young to be doing that, isn't he? It was embarrassing, yet it was so hilarious!
Well here are a lot of pictures from our day:

It looks like you had a wonderful day at the gardens. Spring is definately in the air and it's good to make the best of it.
Your pictures are great - too bad you didn't have your camera on Nicholas for the belly button incident! That must have been hilarious! Take me along next time you go. It's been awhile since I was there. Thanks for sharing! Mom
Men...they start early, huh? That is a very cute story. Good thing he is fascinated with belly buttons and not other things....:-)
Beautiful pictures as awlays. I like the last one of him splashing in the water and with the horse.
That one picture (you know the one) really puts a visual on the phrase "hung like a horse"...:)
Whoa, what a load of pictures. I love that one of him pointing at the horse! Just shows how little and precious he is! What a fun day!
